Context/Scope
EABL is the leading Drinks Company in Eastern Africa with a wide portfolio of products in various categories of beer, spirits, glass, barley, malt and other non-alcoholic drinks. EABL is quoted in all the three East African Stock exchanges and has multiple operations across East Africa. The Supply function is structured on Diageo’s Source, Make, Move and Plan principles.
This role will be based at the EABL Supply Hub and be part of the Supply Centre for Excellence.
Purpose Of Role
This is a strategic planning and program management role and leads the Sales & Operations Plan/Working Capital (S&OP &WC) capability improvement program across all EABL markets to deliver a transformational performance within the S&OP process and WC requirement as well as Distributors stock levels management. Directly supports the markets and executive board on S&OP & WC decisions and strategy.
This role will, through the market leads manage work streams in the EABL markets, to ensure Key Performance Indicators and quick wins are determined and achieved.
Top Accountabilities
- Strategic planning and program management across the markets on S&OP and WC.
- Define and implement a standardized collaborative planning capability as well as working capital management capability within EABL in line with the Global S& OP & WC process to deliver a robust monthly demand signal and optimized year on year (YOY) savings.
- Develop robust statistical forecasting capability
- Develop standards around stock requirements in trade based on optimized stock modeling and replenishment modeling
- Develop a standard improvement process within the both S&OP/WC process supporting the continuous drive for excellence across the S&OP and WC.
- Develop innovation planning standards to optimize Innovation sales, service and end to end costs.
- Achieve market and regional sales forecast accuracy targets through the S&OP Leads and Customer Service managers.
- Deliver a systemic approach to achieve a year on year (YOY) sales forecasting accuracy improvement ambition through optimizing the WOW between the Sales, Marketing, Supply, cost service and quality.
- Increase demand planning competency in market to achieve sales forecast accuracy targets and support the healthy inventory/wc aspiration.
Ensure SLA’s with Export/Import Markets and Suppliers are set to ensure optimal sales, service and working capital.
Qualification & Experience
- Ideally 10 years or more Supply Chain planning/procurement and WC management experience.
- Experience of implementing and managing an S&OP process with a proven track record of supply chain performance
- Strong understanding of end to end supply chain operational processes
- Very strong networking, influencing & communication skills
- Experience in delivering global projects and working virtually
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- High knowledge and skill in TPM-(Total Productive Maintenance) implementation in this area
- Good cultural awareness.
- Demonstrable experience of managing and implementing continuous improvement programs to deliver world class S&OP standards
- Demonstrable experience of leading above process to create a cultural shift in ways of working.
- Demonstrable experience of gaining consensus on the introduction of new planning and forecasting technologies.
- Understanding of the manufacturing operations and financial management.
