Technical Infrastructure Manager Job in Kenya - 2015

We are seeking to recruit Technical Infrastructure Manager who is both hardworking and innovative with unique talent and skills

Job Purpose: The role entails managing IT technologies and Infrastructure and a group of Technical personnel, developing and establishing IT infrastructure standards and procedures to enhance the operational standards of service delivery.

 

Required Skills

• Switching. HP and CISCO. HP BLADE switches and Virtual switching with VMWARE (VSS and VDS) and Hyper-V. VTP, STP. Link aggregation and Ether channel.


• Routing. CISCO. BGP (multihomed and AS and IPv4 address like RIPE NCC Members), OSPF. High Availability with HSRP and VRRP. Manage own AS and IPv4 address like RIPE NCC Members. Proxy and reverse proxy technologies (NGIX, Squid, TMG, ISA). Balanced services in Cisco (CSS 11500 and SLB), Nortel, BIG IP F5 and HAProxy.


• Firewalling and security Cisco PIX, ASA, IOS and FWSM. Linux IPTables, Mikrotik, Checkpoint, ISA Server 2000 & 2004 and TMG 2010. IDS with Linux (snort), Mikrotik, Cisco ASA IPS and IDSM in 6500. Audit with tools as OpenVas, Nessus and Linux distributions.


• Remote Access on Cisco VPN 3000, Cisco IOS in 7200, Windows (RRAS, ISA 200 & 2004 and TMG) and Mikrotik Router OS Windows on SSL VPN, IPSec VPN, PPTP. L2TP.


• Wireless with roaming, location services (Cisco WCS), domains and distributed Lan Controller (Cisco WiSM, 5500 Lan Controller) with Cisco AP (1260, 1140, 1550, 3500). VoWLAN. Coverage analysis.


• Design and implementation of solutions for virtualization, consolidation and cloud computing on Cisco platforms, HP Blade and VMware. Management distributed switching (Cisco Nexus), high availability platforms and contingency in VMWARE.


• Troubleshooting, Investigating, diagnosing and resolve, maintenance, cabling and routing management of network, security, and Voice/VoIP problems. Upgrade equipment.


• System administration of Microsoft based servers (2000, 2003, 2008 and 2012), DNS, Active directory, IIS, terminal services, DHCP, IAS, Sharepoint and knowledge of SQL Server and Exchange services. Linux based servers (Centos main) to deploy applications and useful tools, DNS Bind, Apache, and many other network and security tools.


• Cloud computing services, based in Hyper-V and VMWARE. Knowledge of requirements, able to design solutions based in it and understand the requirements and behaviour of the systems.


• Security Assessments of networks, systems and applications including the continuous enhancement of existing policies. For internal services as for external clients. Vulnerability review

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent


• Minimum 10 years of IT experience with 5 years of management experience preferred


• Certifications in Linux/Microsoft/Cisco/VMware technologies are a requirement


• Must have a strong hands-on/technical knowledge of core Linux technologies including but not limited to servers, My SQL and core network/Cisco technologies like LAN/WAN, subnets, firewalls, VLAN’s and VPN using Cisco switches, routers and ASA’s is required.
